Sony announces that 360 Reality Audio [HS1] content   can now be streamed through Amazon Music HD on its SRS-RA5000  and  SRS-RA3000 wireless speakers  , using Alexa Cast.

Starting April 6, 2021, customers in Spain, the UK, Germany, France and Italy will be able to enjoy immersive object-based audio content on Sony’s premium wireless speakers with a subscription to Amazon Music HD [1] . Amazon Music’s high-quality streaming service includes 70 million songs in high definition (HD), more than five million songs in Ultra HD and a growing catalog of 3D Audio, including 360 Reality Audio content. Now you can listen to 360 Reality Audio content through Amazon Music HD on your speakers through Alexa Cast. Learn more about Amazon Music HD  here .

The RA5000  and  RA3000  models  deliver a room-filling 360 Reality Audio sound experience using Sony’s exclusive spatial sound technology. The 360 Reality Audio themes, which you can enjoy through compatible streaming services, incorporate data about the location of the sound in three dimensions, which means that they can offer the best all-round sound when played on the RA5000  or  RA3000 speakers  . Plus, Sony’s exclusive algorithm, Immersive Audio Enhancement, can transform any of your 2-channel stereo tracks to fill the room with sound and further enhance your listening experience.

Andre Stapleton, global director of artist relations and record labels, Amazon Music, said: “We developed Amazon Music HD to make it easier for music fans to stream high-quality, surround sound. We believe that sound quality is very important and by extending the Amazon Music HD experience to the new Sony home wireless speakers, many more people will now be able to enjoy music in its highest quality. “

Richard Palk, Director of Product Planning and Marketing for Sony Europe’s Video & Sound Division, said: “We are proud to continually evolve the 360 Reality Audio ecosystem, and we are delighted to have Amazon Music HD as a new streaming partner for our new premium home speakers. The RA5000 and RA3000 models are designed to change the way you experience music at home, and Amazon Music HD enables a truly premium audio experience based on its impressive catalog of HD titles and now also 360 Reality Audio. “

Introduced in 2019, Sony’s 360 Reality Audio technology enables artists and creators to produce music by mapping sound sources such as voices, choirs, and instruments with position information to locate them within a spherical space. Powered by Sony’s spatial sound technologies, this revolutionary music experience evokes the feeling of being in a music studio or live concert hall, all without leaving the comfort of home. Over 4,000 songs can now be enjoyed on 360 Reality Audio from artists like Megan Thee Stallion, Noah Cyrus, Zara Larsson, Paloma Faith and others.

In addition to Amazon Music HD, 360 Reality Audio can also be streamed to RA5000 and RA3000 speakers via TIDAL, Deezer, and nug.net [2]  .
